Lucky to get a room last minute

The room is extremely dirty, toilet filled with mould every corners, can feel the mattress spring. The structure in the room is very weird especially the ceiling.

I was a bit regretful about my payment but I hope they will have to amend their cancellation policy.

I like that the cost per day is too affordable. The location is just like a good walk to Ximending Walking District and the Ximen MRT Station. There are many restaurant in the area. The staffs in the front desk were very accommodating and were very apologetic when they say that they cannot refund me for the extra days I booked since the booking policy doesn't include cancellation due to the public health crisis, coronavirus. But I would surely come back to Taiwan. And to continue my vacation when this virus is gone.

I was excited to check when they said that my accommodation was upgraded from a bed in a mixed-dormitory or capsule bed to a private room. But sad to say, when I entered the room. I am a bit disappointed because literally there is no space. It was a only a bed and a small space just to open your door. But I tried to adjust. But my fear is I might be suffocated. But I did survive. I booked for 7 days but I only used one overnight stay since I had to cut short my trip because of the COVID-19.

The receptionist was very helpful.

The receptionist was very helpful. The location of the hostel is also rather good.

Nobody was at the reception at night. Actually, there are two Art Inn buildings divided by a road, and we got mixed up with them. Air conditioning system is all in Chinese, so there was no way to tune it in English (and it was cold).

The room is new and very clean. The bathtub was a bonus. The staff were also friendly. Our stay was very comfortable. Will definitely book here again if we go back.

The lobby was under construction during our stay, so there were no doors in fromt.

The only thing I like about Art Inn is its location. It's very accessible to Ximen Station.

Would definitely recommend and stay again, every time

Clean, modern, really hot showers on each floor so no waiting around, close to MRT, very cheap - perfect for solo travellers

Walls are paper thin; I was woken up a few times by people next door who don’t understand inside voices at 2am. The 6 figure foot code randomly fails at times too; slightly annoying to have to go down to reception to ask to be let in.

Cheap but not worth the stay

1. The door to the block where our rooms are is not even locked though they give a locked code. It’s not working. We stayed 3 nights and dun feel safe at all. No staff around and anyone can walk in and out of the block. Only room doors have working locks. 2. Very dusty n dust are from cement as it’s on the midst of renovation. 3. Towels n bins not changed until U ask for it. 4. No water cooler need go to the reception in another building. 5. Not recommended even if it’s cheap.

Good location and the single room I have booked is quiet. Nice staff.

I found hairs on the bed and pillow. The checkout is at 11am and not 12 as booking.com says.

Just okay

The place was spacious and it was good because we had a private bathroom.

No windows. It looked tidy at first but when I was about to sleep, there were plenty of hair under my pillow. Would never come back. Good thing I was just here with my family as a “transit hotel” as we arrived at Taipei around 3 in the morning. So we just needed a place to sleep for a few hours.
